Reed Family Dentisty began its near 60 year journey in 1949 by the late Dr. E. Loyd Reed, Dr. Kevin Reed's father.
After graduating from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 1978 and the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry
in 1982, Dr. Kevin Reed joined the progressive practice. Its evolution as a hub of advanced dentistry continues
while, at the same time, holding firmly to the relationships of the past 60 years, often serving four generations of
families simultaneously.
Dr. Reed's keen leadership and passion for dentistry has been a catalyst bringing
a standard of excellence that extends to the care of his patients, his staff and the community. Living by his own high
standards and expectations led him to the Pankey Institute of Advanced Dental Education where he has completed over 250 hours of post graduate work.
He has also achieved advanced training and education
in orthodontics including Invisalign; cosmetic dentistry that encompasses the most progressive techniques and the use of durable,
beautiful materials; bite equilibration, plus neuromuscular and temporomandibular joint therapy. It is easy
to see why he has been selected as the Best Dentist in Millington by those who know the best, the patients who have experienced
his care.
In addition, he has a deep commitment to preventive dentistry based upon his philosophy that it
is far better to prevent dental disease than to deal with the effects of the disease.
At the center of Dr. Reed's
personal life has always been his devotion to his own family, his wife Lynn and their three children, and his conviction to
serve the community in which he lives. In 1987, he was one of the original volunteering dentists and doctors who formed the
foundation of the Church Health Center which provides care for the unemployed who are unable to afford health care. Along
with those continual years of service, he has given his time to three medical missionary trips outside the United States,
he participates in the Tennessee Donated Dental Services program, and he has served two consecutive years as President of
the Millington Chamber of Commerce. He continues to support the Chamber as a sustained investor sponsor and is an active
member of the local Rotary Club. His life of service has been a door that has never closed.
